Report: Pujols to sign with the Angels

Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports reports that Albert Pujols will sign a 10-year deal with the Angels worth between $250-260 million.
That certainly qualifies as a shocker. Everyone was talking about the Marlins as the biggest threat to sign Pujols away from St. Louis just 24 hours ago, but the Angels came out of nowhere with what will be one of the biggest contracts in MLB history. According to Brown, Pujols made up his mind Thursday morning and the contract includes a full no-trade clause. Stay tuned for more details.
This would certainly be a big win for the Cubs. Because a Cardinal team sans Tony La Russa and Albert Pujols is about as scary as the Astros.

Also there are rumors swirling that the Cubs could sign Prince Fielder to a Ryan Howard like deal (Howard just signed a 5 yr 125 million contract last April). So in a market giving a player three years Prince's elder 250 million, getting him for half would be a real steal for Theo and the Cubs.

Update:
According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Angels have signed left-hander C.J. Wilson.

Is anyone other than the Marlins and Angels gonna spend significant money this offseason ?
